Abstract:

In the context of a person´s natural need to move, physical culture is an ancient and backbone phenomenon: connection with human labor activity, competitiveness, athleticism of warriors and other well-known facts allow us to assert the rich history of sports. The article conducted an excursion on the development of physical education and sports, taking into account the civilizational eras of antiquity, the Middle Ages, and modern times. Additionally, an analysis of the formation of the domestic system of organizing physical activity, including the TRP and the professionalization of athletes, was carried out. It was concluded on the role of these points in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
