Abstract:

Despite the exclusive right to ensure security, which is de jure assigned to the universal jurisdiction of the UN Security Council, in practice, the regional military-political blocs of countries are called upon to fulfill this role. The article is based on the realities of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe - as the main players in the field of security and relevant interaction on the world stage. As a conclusion, it is pointed out that the existing model of collective security is not quite high and it is proposed to apply a more inclusive approach, expanding the pool of partners of the above-mentioned alliances among external states and organizations.
