Abstract:
The article reveals the peculiarities of interaction between two authoritative regional organizations in Europe - the European Union and the Council of Europe. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure a common understanding and application of common standards - norms of integration law - by all European states. The author emphasizes that cooperation at the level of quadripartite meetings is important for effective interaction between the CoE and the EU, since only within this format can the CoE and the EU develop, agree and "update" the priorities and strategic goals of the two organizations. It was concluded that CoE-EU cooperation is the level of implementation of the intended goals and in the 21st century such a basis is more relevant than ever.
