Резюме:

The article states that the unification of environmental safety problems was made possible due to their combination with the global thesis on sustainable development. The UN Environment Programme and the conventions coordinated by it made a great contribution to this topic. The article concludes with a forecast that an international conference on environmental protection will be held in 2022, at which the next results of cooperation between states at the universal and regional levels will be summed up and the emphasis will be placed on their implementation of the obligations adopted under the above acts. Environmental security issues appear to be at the centre of a new agreement on the environment in view of the continuing threats to ecosystems, the adverse human impact on nature, and technological disasters.
