Abstract:

The article states that a unified security and defense policy provides the European Union with the ability to act quickly using both civilian and military means of member states for this purpose. After a study of security mechanisms in the EU, the author concludes that the EU defense policy acquires a new impetus in connection with internal threats - the dominance of migrants and the transparency of the Schengen law and order in the near future will probably change these areas of the EU general policy.
