The State is the principal, primary and universal subject of international law. The article justifies that the state is a unique subject of international law, catalyzing the processes of creating its norms and rules, giving legal status to new states. Moreover, the state as a subject is distinguished not only, but may not have so much rights as duties and responsibilities in the context of international cooperation, world order. The author concludes that globalization and other modern trends in the international arena will still become factors of influence on the research of the legal personality of the state in the 21st century.
