Abstract:

The article emphasizes that succession is a complex institution of international law that regulates complex issues of the status of a State as a subject, international organizations and individuals influenced by changes in the fate of territories. The author analysed international acts and the practice of succession and concluded that succession was inextricably linked to the problem of the identity and continuity of subjects of international law and was therefore relevant to the entire system of international law.
