Abstract:

The article analyses the basis and substance of international military tribunals and hybrid tribunals with international legal participation. The author refers to the first type of tribunals following the Second World War, and the second to those established at the end of the 20th 21. The author concluded that the establishment of the system of international tribunals meant the unification of substantive and procedural rules, the desire of the United Nations to establish effective bodies of international criminal justice. It was thanks to the practice of the bodies analysed that the world community was able to develop a permanent mechanism of the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
